Shoreditch is one of London’s most creative areas, filled with trendy bars and exciting restaurants.
Whether you’re out on the town, grabbing a drink with some mates, or just wandering about, you’re bound to catch a vibe any time of the day you’re in Shoreditch. From the abundance of bars and copious variety of food on offer in Shoreditch food.
And perhaps one of the best restaurants in Shoreditch to gather up the clan and order a round of drinks and some smashing food. Well, that’ll be Daffy’s. Known for our set menu of little plates, big plates that’ll take up a big space in your heart, and bar snacks you’ll be thinking about every waking moment.
Best restaurant in Shoreditch
Truly one of the best restaurants in Shoreditch, if we do say so ourselves, Daffodil Mulligan is never short of some great craic. The best choice for a fantastic quick bite or heartier affair, and always the centre of laughter and a damn good time.
Choose from dishes like our crisp and delicious Cauliflower Bhaji, a perfectly light but flavourful bomb of crunch, the Soft Egg with asparagus and broad beans; a fresh and punchy Pea Fragola and our much-craved Salt Chilli Fried Chicken to rival any other fried chicken you’ve ever had before.
If you want one big plate of goodness and aren’t sharing, the big plate section of the menu is just as bountiful. The Baked Cod is a fan favourite, made with heirloom tomatoes, courgette and yesterday’s bread. The Sugar Pit Pork is another firm favourite, paired with puy lentils, charred hispi cabbage and garlic purée - A modern take on the Irish classic of pork and cabbage. Another menu highlight is the Soy & Sesame Glazed Duck, with a unique sweet ‘n’ sour cabbage and prawn spring roll. And not to get hearts racing, but the Braised Lamb Shoulder is absolutely to die for…
Perhaps you’ve got a busy day ahead of you, and you’re just popping in for a drink. Not to worry, the bar snacks at Daffy’s are just as good and certainly not your typical packet of pub nuts or pork scratchings. Grab yourself some Korean Pork Bites, Salt and Chilli Chicken, the Chef’s Beef Fore Rib, or Spiced Lentils Scotch Egg with tangy HP Sauce.
Sounds good, doesn’t it, fancy a drink all of a sudden?
Wine and dine
We’ll tell you a secret: we’ve got Gibney’s bar, a charming little Irish haven, just downstairs. Perfect for a drink (or 4) before or after your delicious Daffy’s feast.
Daffy’s is not only the home of great food but also some pretty spectacular drinks. We’ve got menus of wines from faraway vineyards: whites from Spain, reds from Chile, and fabulous sparkling wines from Sussex. The menu includes some great options such as crisp white Abilius, Vinos & Bodegas Airen, a rich and flavourful red, Di Majo Norante Sangiovese, and bottles (or just the glass) of crisp restorative Champagne - sipped alongside our Salt Chili Fried Chicken, it’s just the thing.
There are tempting cocktails on the menu if you’re hankering after something a little different. The Frozen Painkiller is not for the fainthearted, made with Rum Punch, Coconut and Nutmeg for a little more oomph to your day. The classic Black Velvet combines Guinness and Piper Heidsieck Champagne to create a luxurious Irish lovechild.
If draught beer is more your order, there’s plenty of that. Heineken, Orchard Pig Cider, traditional pints of Guinness and our very own Gibney’s Stout!!
And if you feel like dunking your head in full Irish bar baptism… ask your server for our Irish Whiskey list and get some hairs on your chest at this Shoreditch restaurant.
